I've got my licence and my lessons are going well!! I would love to come to a meet.... However paying 4.5k a year to insure her is a no go unfortunately! I'll hvae to earn my no-claims in a small economical junkheap before i can get my arse behind the wheel of my jag!!

That's the way of these days Henry I'm afraid, my 3 sons all had to go through that too.
They started off with a 1.2 Renault Clio and had lots of fun and freedom, it was black box time though to make it affordable, even then was around ยฃ1000 - ยฃ1500 which was more than the car was worth. They're now on 4 years NCB and paying a lot less to insure much bigger and more powerful cars
Do your time and you'll get there
Jim

My first car was a 1993 Rover 214SLi DOHC 3 door, ยฃ1800 insurance for a ยฃ500 car lol. That was 17 years ago now though, was actually a quick car when my friends were all driving 1.0L Peugeotโs and Saxoโs.
