My wife works in an architects office, in theory all the architects there should be quite intelligent and academic. The owner of the firm and chief architect is Swedish. It seems from her conversations in the office that none of the people both British or non British have any clue about anything. The British ones are worrying that they will never be allowed to go on holiday, the continental ones are just doing nothing.
To be fair, until some actual Brexit positions have been established rather than just scare mongering from the press there is little point in doing anything. If I was from continental Europe though and wanted to stay here I'd be filling in the various forms sooner rather than later - it's just sensible to be prepared.
As for the dimwits who worry about going on holiday or if they will be allowed to drive in France etc, it takes a few seconds to search the internet to find solutions - just like before we joined the EU. It is no surprise that they all only read the Guardian and watch the BBC.
