In the New Year I will be looking to purchase Jaguars greatest XJ preferably in Supercharged Form , its no secret my passion for the X350 but looking around I am noticing some X358 Models which are of course the last of the Classic XJ line and still commanding the best part of £20 . Initially I always frowned upon the X358 , it always seemed that Jaguar had simply " blinged up " the beautiful X350 in order to shift the last of the Breed in a pretty stagnant Marketplace and in any case most were Diesels so off my Radar . I particularly didn't like the cheap Plastic Grilles nor the Blanked Off Imitation Vents on the Front of the XJR and the revamped Bumpers didn't do much for me either , in fact apart from the Indicators now housed within the Wing Mirrors I was decidedly unimpressed . So whats changed ?............Well I am looking for a Keeper to use in the Summer months only and the X358 has slightly grown on me , it is truly the last of the Breed but when I look again at the X350 , thats where my heart is . Im looking forward to visiting Dealers and hopefully Private Sellers in the New Year , what a wonderful way to purchase a Car , under no stress and enjoying the experience , thats Classic Motoring for you .
