That's good as our little Golf needs and MOT before the end of April and I've been putting it off while I wait for a new headlight to turn up from CP4L. If I can get it delivered and I fit it this week I'll book the car in for an MOT, otherwise I'll leave it and accept the grace period.

My everyday car, a 2.8T Signum, is due an MOT on 14th April. The car is in excellent order so I have decided to take advantage of the opportunity.

The XJ's MOT is January, so not an issue, the XF's is towards the end of May, and I really can't decide whether to delay it or not. It is also due its annual service in May, and I am reluctant to spoil its full main dealer history by delaying that; I will probably call Taylor's to see what arrangements they have to offer.

It will be interesting to see how you go with the servicing as genuine Jaguar Parts are in many cases impossible to come by . I suppose the run of the mill generic items such as Filters should still be available via the usual Europart type outlets

I suppose the run of the mill generic items such as Filters should still be available via the usual Europart type outlets The Fuhrer has vetoed taking the XF to Taylor's until the current panic is over; it's her car and she pays the bills for it so that's that, for the moment. It does leave me with a small problem though; usually while waiting for her car to be serviced, I visit the parts department for service items for my car. I have a mistrust of pattern oil filters as many of them have inferior filtration, and lack non return valving, as well as being more expensive than the real thing. Anyway, we will see, if I can't get what I want, I'll be sure to whinge about it here.
