I have had confirmation that Donington are happy for our annual meet to go ahead and Sturgess (thank you Nichola) will support the charity raffle in aid of The Donna Louise Trust as in previous years (children’s charity)
So format as usual 10am on the car park at Donington. Catering are aware we are coming so you should be able to get fed and watered.
Raffle tickets £5 each have as many as you like and if you can’t make it you can PM me for how to get one.
Might have to drop out if weather forecast looks bad (in terms of snow). Told you lot you should have had it in November!
Where's your sense of adventure Jim? Life doesn't have to stop just because of snow. My old man kept commuting to London from Meopham by car, all through the 1963 Winter when we had more than three feet of snow covering the garden, without any modern driver aids. A couple of years ago we managed the drive back from Budapest in January, in (more or less) the usual time, over packed snow for the first six hundred miles, the temperature being -18c when we set off. I must confess that the driver aids did their job; it would have been 'king hard work without them. Anyway, have faith; the weather will be just fine.
